Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) and University Relations invite applications for an Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs.The successful candidate will serve as an Assistant to the Director of Alumni Affairs and as an advisor to the Student Alumni Association(STAT). She/he will plan and execute networking, educational and social events for alumni and current students. This person will serve ascontent manager for the alumni website and as primary manager of the alumni on-line community. They will coordinate monthly communicationthrough email newsletter; oversee the office's social media presence; develop and coordinate alumni volunteer recruitment opportunitiesthrough the STAT- alumni mentoring program. The successful candidate will assist in the management of the Alumni Association Board ofDirectors and coordinate the Board's Programming Committee. This person will represent the Office of Alumni Affairs at on-campus/off-campusevents; assist in the day-to-day operations of the Office of Alumni Affairs and SIUE Alumni Association; assist in the development of thecommunity relations and marketing strategy for the University and the SIUE Alumni Association; assist with the development of ideas andcontent for the alumni print publications; cultivate and maintain relationships with key alumni volunteers, community, and Universitypartners; serve as co-liaison with the SIUE Directors of Development and other University constituents. The Assistant Director of AlumniAffairs may be assigned other related tasks in support of the department's mission and goals.Minimum qualifications
